Hello! I think this year I'm going to to a bit crazy on skincare. Lately I've been mainly eyeing skincare products, maybe because I'm running out on them. Haha. Anyways, today I'll be sharing my thoughts on Benton's new Honest TT Mist. The owner of Jolse held another product review event for beauty bloggers world wide back in December and I happened to be chosen as one of the 40 people who gets to try the product! :) So, a huge thank you to Jolse for sending me this item to review. Although I got this product for free, everything is 1,000% my honest opinion. Without further udo, let's get into this review! ^__^
The packaging is very plain and looks professional.
On the front of the box packaging is a description of their Honest Line, which reads "We called it the Honest Line because you could re assured of using Benton's Honest Line due to its honest ingredients used in making this natural product. Benton Honest TT Mist is made of Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf water instead of water. This mist contains Hyaluronic acid and various beauty ingredients to help improve your rough and damaged skin from stress and pollution with moisturizing and cooling effect."
The best thing about this product is that it contains only natural and honest ingredients, so it's great for all skin types! Even those who have sensitive skin. :) This product targets irritated skin that needs smoothing, imbalanced skin, oily skin that needs moisturizing (Yes! Oily skin needs moisture too!), tight and dry skin that needs moisturizing, troubled (acne) skin that needs prevention and improvement, or skin that are sensitive to harmful chemical ingredients. If you have those skin care conditions listed above you might want to consider trying this product!
On the side of the box are listed a few things to be cautious of when using the product and below that are a few notes of where and how to store the item.
The ingredients are listed in English! About 85% of the product contains tea tree, which is an amazing ingredient to treat acne/troubled skin! I can guarantee that all ingredients listed in this product are safe! ( ^o^ )/
Ingredients: Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water (80%), Sodium Hyaluronate (7%), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract (5%), Butylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadenisis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Althaea Rosea Root Extract, AloeBarbadenis Leaf Extract, Beta-Glucan, Poly Glutamic Acid, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Psidium Guajava Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract
I am seriously surprised how much English translation Benton has on their packaging, it's pretty much written in English. Anyways, on the same side of the box are the expiration dates. This product has a shelf life of 18 months and last up to 6 months once it's used. I won't have a problem with using this product within six months because I go through face mists super quick. :)
At first, I thought what unique packaging of a face mist. The packaging is a lot more similar to bb creams and foam cleansers more than face mist right? I wonder why they choose this kind of packaging.
The back of the product pretty much has the same information written on the box.
The range of the spray doesn't look large, but it sprays wide (horizontal). I spray four times, once on my left, center, right, and then center again.
Product Features:
- Improve skin concerns such as soothing and relieving
- Care for troubled skin
- Help balance face moisture and oils
- Maintain moisturized skin
- Can be used a setting spray for makeup
I've been using this spray for about a week and I like it! I like to use this as a toner before I start my makeup routine and it works great. It keeps my skin moisturized, looking healthy, feeling smooth, soft, and bouncy all day long. I also like to use it whenever I wake up on the morning, just as a super quick skincare thing to wake me up a bit or whenever I want to mist my face for fun. Haha. I do see a bit less redness on my cheeks ever since I started using this mist. I absolutely love the cooling effect it gives when I spray it on. :)
I don't have acne or pimples right now so I can't tell you how this product will work on troubled skin BUT I do know that Benton is an amazing brand and tea tree is an AMAZING ingredient for getting rid of acne and acne scars! I think this will be great during summer for me because I tend to get more oily and the occasional random pimple. The cooling effect will also come in handy. :)
Pros:
- Fits all skin types
- Includes natural ingredients
- Improves skin complexion
- Moisturizing and soothing
- No scent
Cons:
- Small amount / doesn't last long
- Expensive-ish
Overall thoughts:
The main purpose of this mist is improving the skin's texture and moisture levels. There's a lot of face mists that offer moisturizing effects that cost cheaper and come in larger amounts. I would only use this mist during the summer for my skin type but if you have troubled skin I highly recommend you try out this spray because there aren't a lot of face mists that target troubled skin.
I personally think this is on the expensive side because you're only getting 40ml (1.35oz) of product for $8.84 (price on Jolse) which is pretty small for a face mist. But then again it contains natural ingredients and you wouldn't want a large amount of that to go bad in case you can't finish within the expiration date. I would repurchase and it's currently on sale on the Jolse website!
Thank you so much for reading and hope this review was helpful! :)
